Over torqued ARP rod bolts.............by 50 lbs!!!
Felt like an idiot but im over it. Here is how it happened:

Consulted the supplied sheet and went with the 95 lbs cause because a 7/16s socket fit on it..hahaha. Felt wierd about it and got out the micrometer to measure the bolts and realized what I had done. Luckily I only did this to one rod. The other three are torqued at about 48 lbs.

Im ordering two new bolts from BC my only concern is the threads on the rod itself.

Should I send the rod back to BC to have it looked at and perhaps repaired? Or just throw the new bolts in and not worry about it?

when you remove the bolt, check it for any damage/shavings. most likely the threads are fine.

Yeah there was a sliver on one of the bolts but I think it was from the bolt itself. It looked like it came off the very top thread under the cap. I emailed BC earlier and they replied super quick with "The threads in the rod will be fine but* I would replace the bolts and they are $7.50 each."

So I will replace the bolts and not worry about it. The threads look good on the inside anyways.
Thanks for the reply!
