Anyone ever broken a VE oil pump???
Has anyone else broken a VE oil pump before? tried looking around but didnt see much...

this is on a RWD VE setup, making 650whp and reving to 9000... lasted a whole season with lots and lots of abuse... it didnt hurt anything else but this is something i was to avoid in the future. external pump isnt an option because of the drag racing classes i run in.

I really just want to know if this is a fluke or if it something that happens, and if so any better options out there?

Just out of curiosity, what crank damper are you running?

Try running an ATI fluid damper. Did you have the rotating assembly balanced?

GTi-R pump has more broad gears from what everyone has said. maybe @pTen can confirm?

Ve one will be better than the gtir, are you using for the ve front cover? The p12 and b15 ve pumps have more veins for support

Can you delve more into why the VE will be better than the GTi-R pump? Oil pressure? Flow ability? Gear thickness of the pump gears themselves?

The ati pulley should solve most of it I would think, but that article goes a tiny bit into why this happened which should provide enough insight to come up with the correct solution. The motoiq guys wpc treat everything it seems so I take it with a grain of salt on its effectiveness in certain applications.
