major BRAKE !! problem
ok, my brakes sucked, car would come to a screetching hault instead it would just slowly roll to a stop. bled all the calipers wich did not make a diff.

i figured i glazed the pads and rotors, wich i did cause they deff felt like it.

i had all 4 rotors re-surfaced, installed them along with new pads. take it around the block and slam on the brakes and the wheels locked up a few times. GREAT. drove it around the block a bit more and couldnt get it to lock up.

went and parked the car.

drove it to a local car show and the same feeling came back. no im pretty sure its not the brake booster or the master cyclinder because the brakes pump up with the car off, return with the car back on and when you have the car parked and hit them the idle drops meaning its pulling vaccum.

drove it home and tried to do a break in 6-7 60-10 stops and drove around for about 10 mins and parked. still the same feeling.

took her out to a local meet, drove her home and did the break in agian and this time drove her around afterwards for about 20 mins. still the same feeling.

i really dont know WTF the problem is.

im thinking i should rebuild the front calipers (i have a spare set of front cali's i can rebuild) switch to the new pads and throw on the car and see if that fixed it.

just wondering if you guys have had any similiar issues and what were the problems/fix's ?

keep in mind my n/a nx breaks will put your face into the steering wheel when you slam on the brakes they lock right up.

^^ Even still, check the brake lines for any residue that they may possibly be leaking? Ask Jensen about that

What kind of rotors/pads are you using?

Trade me your NX and that will fix your problems Good luck with that man, that sucks. The MBC is cheap, just change it just in case.

i didnt like "inspect" the lines, but just was looking at them while doing the work on the brakes, i didnt notice any residue or leaks, they looked fine for the most part.

i do have a infared gun at work, thats a good idea. ill drive it around for 20 mins, park up real quick and shoot each rotor. wich ever one is hot should be the one thats sticking.

although when i did the brakes, i pushed all the calipers back, but maybe it got stuck agian.

domiken thanks for that info, i thought they were expensive, i may save that to last though, as i do believe the bb and the mc are in working condtion.

pain in the ass though, having a fast car and not being able to stop. wanted to run my boys turbo lude last night, sc s2k and some stang but couldnt GRR.

Now that would some good races there! Now, is it a "mushy" feeling or nothing until a certain point?

the peddle seems to have feeling, if you drive and just mash the brake peddle itll stay hard but of coarse go down a bit.

Bleed the brakes again..You started from the passenger side rear? There are times were you could get it on one shot..Sometimes it could take 2-3 rounds.
