Thats funny I was trying to figure out how long it took to swap Emilee Marsh's clutch in the parking lot at the ATL convention last year.
There was a sr20deep army working on the car.
We all eventually get practice since are trannies are made of glass

I remember reading a story on here of someone getting ready to change it out on the highway when a statey showed up and long story short the statey called bullshit on whoever it was changing it out real quick and timed him in 30 minutes wheels up and down.

I know I've done it in 45 minutes with all hand tools and a pump jack. Can't imagine a group of people who know what they are doin, I'd imagine it was 20 minutes or less.

Since I'm thread jackin already (sorry) we should start a trans change out best time thread.

LMAO this thread went for a ride while I was gone. I just talked to the shop, they said they are going to try to bead weld the crack first to salvage the current trans. At this point I hope it works. I'm not sure what year the p11 is at the yard. I would go find out but I don't have a ride! Also, I already got cv shafts to replace the current ones. I wish I had a half dozen of you guys here to help, but as nismo94tuner said its freezing out right now and a garage would be best. I'm going to call the shop back later to check progress.

Well they ended up welding the crack in the bell housing and replacing the mount. $600 in labor and I got my car back. Shifts fine now.

So on my way to work this am the damn thing just died. Right in the mddle of a 4 lane street. It just shut off and I can't restart it. It cranks and cranks but doesn't pop. I had to push it into a parking lot of a Midas and that is where it sits now. I have no cluse what I could be. there isn't much leftto replace on the damn car. I don't think this is related to the work they did. I had this running/starting issue a few weeks back and it turned out to be a distributor. I got it from a local yard so maybe it went bad already? I'm beside myself over this. I had the car back for 12 hours and this happens. I have sunk $2K into this thing and about ready to set it on fire and push it off a cliff.
