So my brother and I spent all day at the salvage yard and didn't even unbolt the transmission from the engine. Spent way too much time trying to free the engine harness and the damn brake pedal that was blocked by the steering column. So we have to go back next weekend, but we have everything out of the way so all we have to do is pull the CV axles out and have the salvage yard people help us pull out the trans with a fork lift since we were not allowed to take a floor jack in there.

I had them give me a price quote on everything before we started work and with core charges (weird) and tax it came to $417. Around $40 of that is core charges so I'll get that back, and plan on scraping the auto trans in my car so will get money from that too. Should make out ok with this when all is said and done. This is all A LOT more work than I had anticipated.

Also, the axle nuts were NOT 32mm, so I bought that socket for nothing and will need a larger one. 34mm?

P10 axle nuts are 36mm, sorry I overlooked that.
