Yeah door seat-belt idea was so bad the Canadian government wouldn't allow the SE-R in the country. Its an awful pain in the ass to use the seat-belts as intended.

Another thing about the B13 SE-R is you absolutely have to lock the doors when driving because if you were ever in an accident and the door flew open you'd have no seat-belt....

So they mandated that all cars have a passive safety system; with the B13 SE-R, Nissan decided to put the belts in the door so you could leave the belts buckled when you get in and out of the vehicle. In the S13 chassis, they had automatic seatbelts (powered sliders) on the A-pillar/roofline. This only lasted a few years until cars came standard with airbags.

Now that i think of that, i´ve seen that in the movies... gotta try that... you americans... ahahhahah

That is how the seat belts are supposed to be used. You grab a hold of the two belts (one over your lap and the other across your shoulder) and you slip into the car, when you close the door, your belt is on as normal. I tried it that way and it is quite goofy but that is how the manual details how to do it. Cute pictures in the manual, also.

I bet the manual dont show the door flying open in a crash and people flying out or getting starngled on the way out
Between the weight added to the door that has weak hinges to begin with, and the possibility of flying out,I have converted my B13 to B14 belts.
I would recommend the same ...there are a couple writeups here how to do it.

I really love the color of this car.It looks to be in really good shape too!

Quite possibly the only one, not sure! I have the car for 3 days now and got asked what it is a few times already... because there´s no emblems on the back...

So the 1.6 is the same? Hmmmm maybe our 1.6 sr sunny use the same, there´s a few on the junkyards... nice...

Not mine, but I always loved the car in that pic you photoshopped.
Not a fan of the twincam stickers...reminds me of a toyota SR5 corolla hatchback from the 90s
