i will continue to run the fx500 best bang for the buck. have one in my car right now

you say you have the 6 speed conversion sure that clutch is compatible with that setup? I'm not familiar with that swap hence why i asked.

looks like a factory defect or some serious shock load. it only takes one rivet to be weak and it will shear them all. cm is good about honoring their warranty. I have put several thousand miles on my fx500 including 8hrs of dyno time. Also drove to the convention and back.

What about bell housing to trans?

Either the rivets were *really* done wrong or there is a misalignment between input and flywheel.

All dowel pins are there, if this were my first go around I would be inclined to maybe agree that something like that was possible, but I have done many clutch jobs.

Stock VE crank, crank pulley, bone stock VE with a turbo kit and 6spd swap

This is my first failed unsprung and it may have just been a bad batch, i wouldn't worry about it.

It was a very cheap kit, I paid $205 shipped for it from HPF before they shut down. I wouldn't get why this clutch wouldn't be compatible with my 6spd flywheel and trans. Its a Gspec FW made to fit all 240sx KA clutches

Honestly this is the first time I have gone away from using and ACT clutch and seems like karma came to get me LOL, I have been using ACT clutches for over a decade and have only had 1 fail when a spring popped.

Well I just shipped it out to get inspected today, so we will see. Hoping it was just a defect or else I will have to look at other options.

Thanks guys for all the opinions and thoughts, i'll let you guys know what the outcome is.

Im in the same boat. I used ACT clutches for over 5 years without any problems. This is my first Spec clutch. I'm hoping for good results.

Well the reason I asked... Is because you wouldn't see it during a "clutch job"...

A sprung clutch is more forgiving to misalignment.
