Thread: ga16 to sr20 b14 swap

Hello all,

I recently purchased a running 98 200sx se manual with the ga16de on the Cheap cheap. Motor and body have 220k and runs just fine. I have a complete running UK sr20 motor/tranny to include complete wiring harness and ecu. I want to know what issues will i run into doing the swap especially with the wiring. It seems that both ends of the SR harness (battery/alternator) don't appear to mesh with the GA harness.

these 3 connectors are from the SR Harness passenger side, note far left is the bottom 3 pin connector.


this is the same 3 connectors on the GA16, note the bottom connector is like a single pin vs SR is a 3 pin??

my question is will these mesh up with ga16 harness somewhere here?


Im making a lot of assumptions here but I believe i can do this fairly easily as I have already done a de to ve swap in my B13.

A couple of notes,

1. Not concerned with Heating and Cooling
2. i know i will need new/used driver and tranny mounts as the ga16 ones cannot be used.
