P11 Manual transmission leak - Please help ID this part!
HI all,
Long story short - I have been doing some extensive maintenance on my P11, and was about to do a manual transmission fluid change.
Then I noticed quite a bit of road grime mixed with the tranny fluid at this one spot on the tranny.
Well after just a little bit of light cleaning with a cloth and some simple green, it started leaking like a sieve - like the gunk was holding back the leak.

It all seems to be coming out of this place on the front side (the Bow/front side of the car) of the tranny, right next to the side cover (see pics).

This was taken from under the front bumper:

I think that this is the same place in the FSM diagram:

Looking at the FSM, I think that this is may be a Welch plug, a check plug and ball, or the Striking rod oil seal and boot -
But that is only my best guess from looking at the diagrams.

If anyone can help my identify - and most helpfully hit me up with the fix on this, I would, as always be most appreciative

thats the reverse switch location. Should have a switch with a blue connector on it.

Sweet. That also explains the mystery of why my reverse lights are out.
No bs, this has stumped a lot of "experienced mechanics" also.

So this would cause a major leak if there were not a reverse switch sensor there, correct?

Imagine tapping your block (for a turbo or something) and not plugging the hole.

You have a open hole in your transmission which needs at the very minimum a screw to plug it while you wait for the sensor =\
