Never seen this before.....
Over the last couple years, my car has seemed to be "jumping" timing. I've done a few things trying to figure out the issue, but just recently decided to buy a new timing chain tensioner. I just started to check things out on the car, and when I took the valve cover off I noticed this. Somehow, at sometime the chain is getting loose enough to slap the damn valve cover lol. As it sits the chain is tight, so I'm not sure what the deal is. I'm going to get everything timing related back to where it should be, put the new tensioner(thanks GregV!) in and see how it goes afterward.

The crank and cams seem to be lined up as they should. I'm not really sure what's going on lol.

Thanks to Eric96ser, and Swiss, I realize both cams are off one tooth. I came upon this thread, and think that Eric's picture should be put into the Manifesto.

I've made a new Timing Chain and Mechanical Valve Timing section for The Manifesto and put this and the linked thread in it. I have a lot of work to do on The Manifesto and I'll get to it soon.
Remember, the best way to get a thread in the manifesto is to post a link in The Manifesto, or at least @BenFenner me.
