ga16 core JWT ECU in a B14 VE
Just wondering if anyone else has any insight on running a JWT programmed ECU from a ga16 core in a 200sx se-r w/ a VE?

I just finally got my car all put back together and the ECU back from JWT and now I'm again trying to get my CELs resolved so I can smog my car. I'm hoping that I did not get screwed by buying a used OBDII JWT ECU from someone here on the forum. I was not aware when buying it that it was from a ga16.

Currently, the codes I'm getting are:
P0505 - IACV-AAC valve
P1401 - EGR temp sensor

Am I going down a dead end road in trying to get these codes resolved with my current setup? I could try testing some different sized resistors in the EGR temp sensor connector to try to get that cleared, but I'm not really sure what to do about the IACV if it is actually working properly. The inspection procedures from the FSM are obviously different between the GA and SR, so I'm thinking that the IACV could be working, but the sensor values that the ECU are looking for could be different.

TIA

edit: the FSM inspection procedures for P1401 are actually the same for the GA and SR, so I'm going to double check that resistor that I have in there... maybe it should be removed now with the JWT ECU?

I find most of the time when there is issues people like to put the blame on other things than looking at themselves and their lack of knowledge on the subject. So far since I have been watching your threads you have been doing a lot of wrong things with your car and plug things into the wrong area. So that you know if you plug the wrong thing onto the wrong sensor you can actually damage the computer. I have seen it done many times/

Anyway the GA16 B14 ECU has the same pinouts as the SR20DE B14 ECU and will work the same as a B14 SR20DE ECU.

P0505 - IACV-AAC valve

Well did you extend plugs, did you wire them up properly and or did you plug them up.

P1401 - EGR temp sensor

Well get your EGR temp sensor from your DE motor and plug it into the harness. That will fix the problem 100%

Took the words out of my mouth and beat me to the punch line...

@root - 20 years ago when I started down the SR20 path, I made more mistakes then I can or care to remember.

Take it slow, do it once, do it right. If your not sure, stop and ask - there are plenty of us with the knowledge that are down to help...

I got rid of the EGR temp sensor code. I found a better Consult software (ECUTalk) than I was using and it's telling me that I actually have more codes than just those two initial ones. So, now I'm getting P0505, P1110 INT V/ SOL V, and P1336 Crank P/S (OBD) COG. I clear these and they come right back.

I swapped out the ECU with my stock one and my runs like crap but gets no codes..
