Sounds like clutch spring issue to me.

Damn. Got 60,000 trouble free miles out of the car at least.

You know whats weird, since I removed the JWT ECU and replaced with the stock ECU, the car feels faster, except for the 7100 rev limiter.

Anyways, ordered the correct clutch cable from Greg, will see if that fixes the problem.

I have always used the B14 SR cable regardless if it is for a B13 or B14. When I compared them back in the 90's they were the same exact length. The only difference was the B14 had a piece of shrink tube on it that held the end of the cable at the clutch pedal from slipping during installation.

Your problem could be:
Clutch Cable stretched
Clutch Cable bracket flexing
Clutch Disc Spring Failure
Shift fork worn

For Reference:
B13 30770-64Y01 -> 30770-64Y10
B14 30770-1M800
B14 30770-9B410

They are different part #'s. For my sake, and sanity, I hope its the cable. Otherwise I may climb a large mountain and scream

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Although when I think about it, I got a good 54,000 miles on this clutch. And it was cheap. Exedy stage 1. I just don't understand why it's not slipping at all @ WOT to redline, nor does it slip climbing hills when its hot or anything. Just difficult getting into 1st, sometimes 2nd, and reverse.

dude, your starting to go all, speedo..

take the damn transmission off, find your broken springs, replace clutch.. further more... you should be sure that you have ALL dowel pins, the 2 in the block/trans and the 3 in the flywheel..

we cant All be wrong here.... however i hope it is just a cable, but i doubt it..

A clutch spring popping out does not automatically mean the clutch will slip. If the friction surface is still in good shape, the clutch itself will hold the torque of a Bolt on VE like in your case

A spring popping out and jamming could very well be your problem. Never gave much to running sprung clutches, especially if they are not of updated caged/spring design.

Now, if the spring jams while the crank/gearbox are rotating, that's an entirely different issue...........

Well I want to start small. In case it is the cable. If it's not then I shall proceed
