Thread: Yay or Nah? I'm torn on the rim idea.....

Thinking of doing this for real but wondering about opinions. Right now they Slips are gunmetal. Looking for a new look. I plan on plastidip them just in case I'm not happy

Yay, I love white wheels on a white car.

Have you considered polishing them, and then maybe clear coating them?
Rotas slips look great polished.

I've thought about it. Might look better if they were 16". But I'm also worried if I do strip them. Can I strip them with the tires on? As far as clearing them I would have to spend way more than dipping them. Here is one currently gunmetal factory finish.

I can't stand polished lips on dark rims. It's been played out an is so 2005.

If I could do gold I could. Polished if I didn't have to fork out a lot. I don't want it to be permanent so plastidip is a perfect alternative.

Plastidip is your answer for sure. Don't like it peel it off. I personally think that too much white is a bad thing, but that's not what matters lol.

Yea. IDK....I'm torn. I think it would look less sporty with all white. Plus something new. And once that fades then I can peel it off. Or do a different color.
