Remove paint from center console
I recently scored an NX console at a wreck yard but it's painted white and my SE-R interior is totally black.
How do I remove the paint with out damaging the console?

depends on what kind of paint was used. If the paint is in good condition then I would just paint over it with vinyl spray paint. I have used it to change the color of interior parts before. I have also used it to touch up old and faded plastic.

Painting over it would just make it loose it texture.

Never had a issue with the texture but I also did not put lots on paint on. You can try paint remover but I would do it in a area that cannot be seen. the paint remover might eat the material and the paint. I changed the interior color of my 65 mustang gt using vinyl paint. it looked good but I eventually bought a new interior in the right color. You may want to talk to some one at a upholstery shop and see what they have to say.

Home Depot has it. It works on overspray and even took rattle can primer off my car that some jackass decided to spay up. 90 seconds on and wipe clean. I'd suggest to respray lightly just before wiping as it will junk up on you. Won't harm anything just don't scrub hard. A very good $8.00 investment.
