Thread: car wont start when warm

my 91 nissan se-r will not start after the car has been running around town. seems once it gets hot the car will not start again. i have had the battery alternator checked they were fine. i had the starter replaced thinking it was the solenoid acting up but it is still not starting after running it. the only thing i can think of is the clutch ignition switch (neutral safety switch) under the pedal. i am really at my wits end here. I am so frustrated with it not being reliable that i think it is time for it to go the way of the do do bird. i would hate to do it but it that bad. any ideas guys?

Check your grounds to the starter. Try running a new ground to it and see what happens. It could also be a wire with and intermittent connection which is very hard to find. Good luck.

just to be clear will the car turn over and not start or will it not even turn over?
