Thread: Help me with my IACV.

According to the FSM if I disconnect the connector I should see an immediate decrease in idle. If I disconnect it nothing happens. I checked the voltage with the key in the "on" position at the connector and I do get battery voltage. I checked the resistance of the plunger and it is around 10 ohms as specified in the FSM. I also checked the fuse. I also took off the AICV and cleaned it up. Why doen't the idle drop when I disconnect it? My idle stays at a steady 750-800 RPM. Is there another test I can do? I am trying to troubleshoot something else but I got to the AICV and I want to make sure it is working properly before I continue.

750-800 at idle seems like it's working properly to me. What makes you think is bad??
