Sounds like typical sr20 valve train noise. How's your PCV valve? When they go the motor burns quite a bit of oil and the valve train gets louder. I had a guy a Valvoline recently note piston knock on my receipt, because he couldn't tell the difference between knocking and the louder sr20ve valve train.

I finally got a video with the car making the noise. It's really only noticeable at idle and it only on occasion. Sounds like it's coming from the upper part of the motor:
