Kyle, you're the man.

I *might* have figured out the problem. On my way to work this morning I took it to the limiter in 1st and 2nd gear, this time the limiter hit at 6,900 in both gears. I believe Lynch was right, and the faulty tach could just be giving me a bad reading. We'll confirm this theory as soon as my new (used) gauge cluster arrives with a working tach. If I have time I'll take the scan tool out and log a pull to the rev limit, and see what RPM I hit (doubt I'll make time for this).

The powerband itself is likely normal, after looking closely at Kyle's dyno graph, this could really be the same kind of power that I'm experiencing. His car drops off 10 hp from peak over the course of 1,000 RPM before red line (and thats with an intake, which should hold some power longer than my stock airbox). This could explain the power loss before the fuel cut I'm experiencing and could be completely normal.

I went and looked at my ECU but couldnt find a part number, I'll unbolt it at work tomorrow when I have tools and look at the bottom of it, or scan it for the part number. Thanks again for the list Kyle, and thanks everyone else for the help and ideas.

Yeah apparently they suck so bad that they can fool new G owners into thinking there's a problem, lol!

I'll probably always have stock cams in this engine though, this car is used for too much normal-people stuff. I do want to get my hands on a highport intake cam though, thats about it.

Stock cams combined with the very tall 3rd gear in a P10 makes a very large difference in power delivery vs and SE-R. First and second are great, and third feels lik hitting a wall, same with 4th. 5th is wonderful for cruising though.

Yeah, the gearing is definitely not meant for a performance application, but I'll take it for the MPG. However, our town is full of hills and I really wish there wasn't such a huge space between second and third, quite annoying.

Have the injectors cleaned and flow tested. Mine only had 78K on them and they pick up more flow after the cleaning. I recommend these guys: WitchHunter Performance - Injector Cleaning & Flow Testing Services Not saying it's night and day performance gains, but at least you'll know the injectors are good.
