Serial Number "Plate" on block
I need to take about a quarter of an inch off of the back (front) of the flat plate where the serial number is stamped into the block to make room for my turbo. Does anyone know if I would be hitting any water veins or anything by shaving just a bit off?

Thanks.

No, you should be fine. However why not just resurface the manifold to head flange to an angle to move the setup away from the block. A trick Andreas Miko has done if I'm not mistaken. If you have the means anyways. If not then grind away. Even a slight angle change to the manifold will move the turbo away significantly.

^Interesting idea. I have an issue with turbo fitment right now as well. Seems the actuator is a tad too big.
