Weird because I was not running on 3 cylinders. If I was running on three cylinders and made 160whp with them, something is wrong with either the dyno or I have the most powerful completely stock SR20 engine, ever.

nah man not that lopey idle, when your shit sounds like a subie you will truely know it, it will seriously lack power and if its not a fuel issue it'll smell of raw fuel.

In my case, the Subbie sound is really pronounced under 2500 and the power is low. Midrange feels stockish and the sound isn't obvious. After 5200 it actually pulls harder than stock and actually sounds pretty mean. I guess the compression is somehow coming back up after a certain RPM....

thats strange lol.

with all the injectors i've seen fail im pretty familiar with the subie sound, its def not a good thing on our cars..

Kyle...when did the powerband kick in? How was the power off idle?

try to get a legitimate leakdown tester and take off the exhaust manifold as reversion gave me false reading when I first did mine you'll hear/know how much is leaking. I borrowed a Milton from my buddy worked awesome.

Never heard of a bent cam... It is either straight, or sheared.

It *could* happen if it wasn't heat treated correctly. Just very very very very unlikely and you wouldn't be able to install it.

Unless the grind was off on just that lobe?....sounds unlikely coming from JWT.

Home from work, out to the garage for some recon.

Around 3800RPM is when it felt like the cams were starting to do work and change differently in power delivery over stock cams.

However, I came from BC Stage 2 cams when I installed those cams for a short jaunt. I ran those cams for less than a year and they were great until about 6800 RPM, then the power just fell off. (this was the main reason I went back to BC Stage 2 cams).

Those S3 were great for traffic driving and there are many a time where I wish I had that down low power they created for me since that is 99% all I do with my car. Unfortunately I would rather live my daily driving life in the upper RPM and I swapped back to the BC Stage 2 cams after they were in a turbo engine for a little bit.

The idle was odd, my Dad did not like the idle when I thought he would (since the larger cam with a goofy idle I thought was his thing) like the lopey idle they have.

My BC stage 2 cams make peak power at 7100RPM and they did not fall of nearly as fast as the JWT FELT like they fell off.

The above picture actually directly confirms what I believed the car was making power and up to the point it was making power and falling off. So I am not that crazy, even though I don't own a VE.
