B13 CEL code 32 and 34 help
I've had a check engine light for awhile and I really need to fix it because I need to smog.

What I pulled up on the ECU was 32-EGR Function and 34-Knock Sensor.

Now what I was wondering...if the 02 Sensor was bad is it possible that the ECU will throw the EGR and Knock Sensor codes off?

Or is the Knock Sensor a whole differnt beast?

ALSO will a bad 02 Sensor cause the EGR function CEL to even come on?

Thanks guys...I've never had to deal with these before so I'am a n00b at it.

B13 BTW

Changed the 02 sensor with a new one and still getting both the codes.

What on the EGR could be causing the code?

Why would O2 sensor cause this code. There's a code forO2 sensor no?

BTW I have the same codes on my G20.

From what I heard is the 02 could cause codes that aren't thrown that would deal with the its one ECU code.

replace the knock sensor and see if it stays off, if not clean ur egr and pray for the best1

I had the same exact codes on my nx a while back.. I tried cleaning my egr and it was to no avail.. I ended up removing it, installing blockoff plates on the manifold and a resistor in the connector to prevent the light from coming back.. The knock sensor, well that thing just sucked.. Its kinda hard to get to and very easy to strip the bolt that holds it on. I ended up replacing it and still had the code, turned out that it was the wire that had taken a dump...

This is what I've been told af ew times. Redo the harness or the connector.

Unplug the knock sensor and plug a different one in. If the code goes away replace the knock. For the EGR there is temperature sensor that it has to see. You can bypass this by putting in the resistor or replace the sensor. It screws into the intake manifold right by the EGR solenoids.

Serious the temperature sensor will cause it? The previous owner ripped the wires apart while installing a new motor. I rewired it but the gauge in the cluster doesnt read correctly. Unless I am thinking its the sender plug I am thinking?

I can't bypass anything because I have smog due....:/

The EGR has its own temp sensor on the intake manifold by the EGR solenoids. This is not the same as the coolant temp sensor. You could wire in a resistor by the ECU and still have everything look stock in the bay.
