Its essentially a vibrations damper.
It's dead weight, get rid of it.

Noise, Vibration, Harshness reducer.

Or a nifty way to add roughly 20 lbs. to the front of the car.

USDM P11's don't have them, take it out and throw it at someone. That's all it's good for, a projectile...

It comes on the TE-Vs. I think its a vibration damper/balancer. Also it could help strengthen the bulk head so it flexes less.

Exactly, that piece only comes on the overseas varieties and isn't needed. I saw a front clip a long time ago and had the same question.

Only JDM cars get them. That is why P10s have them and not USDM P11. heh
