With cylinders 2 and 3 not working properly, the load is uneven and the engine shakes. #4 wire just happens to be in the right place to show it.

yes i am trying to establish if the rings are bad and or washed out with fuel? or the size of the compresson leak?

is the ground near the overflow bottle connected?

also ck the ect connector and wirring for dammage the ecm could think its 30 outside and be flooding

The grounds are all connected. The connector is something to look at but right now I'm worrying about the compression. Flooding may or may not come into play after I get it to hold proper compression on all 4.

Look at this way: Cylinders 2 and 3 have zero compression, while 1 and 4 are normal.

What are the chances that both of those rings have gone so bad that compression reads 0, while the other two are fine? Probably next to nothing..

Whatever it is is probably not cylinder specific. I don't really know where I'm going with that lol, but that's how it looks to me. A head gasket leak between the two would give you bad compression too if the two cylinders are not in phase together but I don't think it would show 0 even then

un less he over heated it on the way into his garage i think he would have noticed it running on 2 cyl prior to repair.

BUT why did you replace timing chain?
