SR parts are probably easier to get because its usually the same common problems with the same conclusion. Nissanraceshop.com is where I usually get my parts or on the forum. If u have an OEM part number than they can most likely get it. I just paid 32 bucks for a vet head gasket that usually goes for 100~ .not bad in my book

Coming from an EX VW guy, You wont regret the SR..

Parts are not really hard to come by at all, Remember although the SR didnt come in 240's here the SR did come
in many other cars. Parts are cake to find and are way way more reliable than anything VWAG makes by far...

Plus if your looking into a 240 ( RWD owns FWD ).

Welcome to the forum.

While the vast majority here are FWD owners, replacement parts for the RWD SR are not that hard to come by. True if you want to go to a dealer to buy your SR parts, you're going to wait a while; who in the hell orders parts from dealers anyway?

VW's are finicky. I'm not saying they're bad cars by any stretch of the imagination, but if you were to do something beyond turning the key and driving like grandpa, I wouldn't consider a VW.

Go RWD SR20VET.

1) New OEM Parts:

Call forum vendor Greg V at G-Spec. He can find it if it exists.

Or contact Blair (forum name the same) who works at a Nissan dealer parts department. Terrific guy.

Or Scott at Fontana Nissan in California. Did a huge CF Siebon group buy last year.

2) Pre-Owned parts.

Andreas Miko (forum name the same, phone number in signature) or...

The Forum Classifieds.

3) Group Buys. Specialty items or custom items.

I cannot recall ever having any trouble finding OEM parts.

I really need a specific recommendation on where to buy an Sr-20 on the east coast. If there are any shops around the RI/MA area that have Engines/Trannies/uncut wiring i would like to know. I understand that Heavythrottle.com used to be a good place to buy sr20's but that place has since closed its doors. Im trying to avoid places like JDMenginedepot.com because i have seen literally HUNDREDS of horror storys about nissan / honda engines.
