I have all cam lobe measurements in my note book that i took myself. If you can get me an accurate measurement i can tell you exactly what you got. But the paint marks are normally the give away

Can you take a look at the values I got?

How are you measuring them? cause those values are way off even 2L cams

I have always used digital calipers. So its hard for me to gauge an exact measurement with your pictures.

These are the OEM measurements for SR16VE cams.

Intake: Low - 36.60mm High - 38.85mm
Exhaust: Low - 37.20mm High - 38.95mm

These values are +/- 0.20mm Due to cam & tool wear, tool calibration and user error

Values I personally took of my own set of SR16VE cams with a few beers down me.

Intake: Low - 36.60mm High - 39mm
Exhaust: Low - 37.20mm High - 39mm

Adding to what pTen posted.

Nico, we have all of the VE cam nose height measurements in the Forum Manifesto under the Variable Valve Lift (and duration) (VVL) and SR20VE Engine Tech section. Here is the direct link to the thread with the measurements SR20VE And SR16VE Spec With Pics. The first image is the one you want, seen here:

There is also this thread (from the Manifesto)that shows the cam colour markings (I am sure you have seen this already) http://www.sr20-forum.com/information-library/45181-how-can-you-identify-nissan-vvl-camshfts.html

It's hard to tell from your pictures but you might have the cams turned slightly inside of the caliper which is why your measurements are off? Centre of the base to the highest point (peak) of the lobe is where you want your caliper contact points to be.

Note that the info about the 16ve cams miko post is wrong.

OK, so I wasn't reading the measures properly, I think I got the right ones now,

Exhaust:

- Low lobe: 36mm
- High lobe: 38,7mm

Intake:

- Low lobe: 37,6mm
- High lobe: 38,75mm

I'm feeling this is bad news....
