Help ASAP!!! Remove d/s axle!!!
I was prying like crazy with it on the car and it seperated from the cv joint so now I just have this stump of a fucking axle in my transmission that won't come out or even go back in... I've put all my weight and jumped on a pry bar and the shit still wont break loose... It's just STUCK in there... I wanted to be able to finish this build today but there is no chance in hell if I can't get this axle out.. I'm confused because I've never had a axle actually get stuck on me... I'm debating on just hacking up the transmission or axle just to get this P.O.S out... help anyone?

Just gotta keep working at it. Sometimes that c-clip on the axle end gets rather stubborn, especially over time.

I've been working at it for about 4 hours straight now =\ If I could just get this off I would be able to finish her up today gah... I don't know how I could use a slide hammer to get it off ?

ahh the dread ds axle problem. So sorry man but be assured this has owned many an SE-R man.

I don't even take them out myself. I leave them in the tranny when I do clutches.

When I did my last swap my mechanic friend used a big pry bar in his left hand and he grabbed the axle and jiggled/roatated it with his right hand (a very well trained hand I might add) at the same time. Took ten seconds I shit you not. I was across the shop and turned around. Before I could say 'don't do that' it was out.

You may have mangled the circlip in there by now so I'd see what you have when you get it out. But it will pop out when you have it all lined up, and only then.
