Need tempermanant solution for loose highport throttle body pivot ball...
Yo,

So I was driving today and upon a full throttle run I get no throttle. I immediately know what happened as it's that damn white pivot ball that goes to the throttle body on highport motors. It's not broken, it's just really loose. I'm sure a lot of you have ran into this. I know the best solution is to get a better/new arm, but what's a quick tempermanant fix?

hmm, would something like gum or putty work? Gotta be something that takes up some of the space but still allows it to move around in there so I think adhesives are out of question.

Took the rod off to inspect it. Looks like there are magnets(?) at the bottom of each of the pivots. Is that correct? The side that keeps sliding off is the side that no longer have those pieces at the bottom of the pivot ball.

springs? I don't see any springs. The bottom one actually clicks in and stays. The top one is completely loose. It looks like there may be magnets glued in to the bottom of the working side.

Im referring to the throttlebody and other thing itself, they both return to the closed position. Meaning you could get away with using something that isnt stiff like the oem link piece.
