Hmm ok. Where are they located in the B14 engine bay?

It looks like they are in the fuse box by the battery, but what exactly am I checking for? I cant even get a good enough grip to pull them out.

they are like fuses, check to see if the contacts broken, usually the tops are clear.

if the wire of the fusable link is exposed jiggle it around some....one of mine looked fine till i moved it and i could feel it was broken inside.....not all of them will be exposed tho....might all be in plastic cases

Update: it hasn't died on me since Saturday but I also haven't driven it more than 15-20 min. It seems to be starting ok but sometimes when I start it and rev the engine over 2000rpm the revs drop under 500rpm and it dies or nearly dies. Or when I'm coming to a stop and push in the clutch pedal, it does the same thing were it almost bogs out. Idk if its related but its annoying having to push the brake and gas pedal when stopping haha.

Becareful when pulling the battery cable when the engine is running to test the alternator, you can mess up your ECU and other electrical parts

sounds like a bad connection, check battery ground to chassis and engine block

UPDATE #2: im still having the problem. I finally picked up a voltmeter so I could check the battery and alt. What I found is the alt is running at the same voltage as the battery, right around 12v. From what I understand the alt should be around 14v. Would a bad connection or blown fuse cause this? I'm not completely sure which ones to check. Or should I just replace the alt? Anyone else have this issue?

If the alt gets the 12V signal in the 2wire plug then that should turn it on to charge.
