The Miko tranny brackets are pretty good to extending the life of a cable. But sometimes the cables just snap due to wear and tear or because they are not lubed with white lithium grease. The non Nissan brand cables will fail really quick without a tranny bracket.

just got a new cable installed and now my clutch won't engage- the cable appears to be to short. I currently have the threads adjusted to where they are barely hanging on and still no dice. I should have known something was up when I had to pry to lever back in order to seat the clip around the clutch lever.

I purchased the new cable from O'reilly's - Pioneer CA-810 is the brand and part number.

After doing so searching on Rockauto.com it appears this cable is typically used for the 1.6 not the 2.0 - this could be my problem being that my car is b14 se-r? However, I read in this thread that both cables should be interchangeable?

According to rockauto.com the cables come in a couple different lengths - 28.5" and 29" guess that 1/2" makes all the difference?

Going back to O'reilly tomorrow to see if they can cross reference a different part number- Rockauto.com recommends Pioneer CA-466 or CA-468 for the 2.0 models.

Will update with my findings later this week once I get the other cables in hand to compare.
