This will be my 2nd autozone cable. I bought this when I got the last one and installed it a couple years ago. I will install this one and go OEM 1.6 for my next one.

I BARELY drove my car last year and stopped driving it not too long after doing the cable the year before. My clutch was toast and I had major issues gettin a new one in <---long story!

But to basically verify what the others have said, the current autozone cable that I'm about to replace really hasn't seen too much usage.

I used a after market cable for 2 months and gave it away once I got an OEM cable. Not worth buying that crap.

Here is a brand new OEM 2.0L Clutch Cable.
Its about 28.5" to the end of the adjustment.
Can anyone provide a picture and measure the 1.6?

Donshou i did that on page 2, lol! My post under my pic offers a length. Odd they are the same length. Now I shall call the parts store and verify its a 1.6 cable they sold me some time ago.

Also what I was thinking, with the "grinding" feeling from these parts store cables, I'm going to slap some grease on this cable before I install it. Maybe that will help prolong the life?

EDIT update: just called autozone to run the part # on the box, it is in fact the 1.6 cable...which I posted on page 2 is 30" in length. Funny your 2.0 cable is shorter, something isn't right.

The picture I posted was 2.0 OEM cable.
I was hoping to see a 1.6 OEM cable to see if its shorter.
Maybe the autozone cable is the same for the 1.6 and the 2.

I have found that the 1.6 cables are a pain in the ass to put on and sometimes will not even reach.

Its not the over all length that makes it fit. It is the cable to mounting position that makes the SER one fit even though it is shorter.

How long does this have to be a problem before someone comes up with a better option?..... this has been going on for too long and it's a easy fix. Beefier cable, beefed up endings done....I would be willing to pay up to $120 for a cable guaranteed to last a lifetime no questions asked.

Here are 3 cables I had in hand a couple weeks ago. Though, re-ordering B13 2.0 cables has not repeated getting this much longer one. First was longer, but not as long, the second was just like the 1.6.

Shown organized a couple different ways to highlight the differences.
