Coolant Temp Sensor or ECU
First off, I have a B13 with a VE swap and could not get it to pass emission. After hooking it up to ECUtalk I get fault code for CAS(camshaft angle sensor) so I decide to rewire to a good VE distributor. Now everytime I start up the car the fan would always be on. I hook up the ECUtalk again and now it show Coolant Temp Sensor so I swap out for a new autozone one but I'm still getting the code and fan still on. When the car is running and I clear the code it would stutter then die but when I tried it with the cts unplugged it would stutter but not die. If my wires to the cts is bad would ECUtalk show normal temp? Can anyone help me out? I'm out of ideas

I have gotten bad sensors before that were brand new. Did you buy the cheap one or the more expensive one? If you got a cheap one, go back and get their more expensive on and try that.

I have heard that oem coolant temp sensors are the way to go. Although I do know people that run autozone ones without any problems.
