And it looks like Nissan fell for it, hook , line & sinker.

Now i know there is no perfect auto mfr. out there, it's what they do AFTER the sale that holds merit ( i.e taking into consideration owner loyalty, price service history etc ) .

I've seen Chrysler deny warranty to a 2.7 L sludge monster, Intrepid, saying it was " lack of sufficient oil changes " that caused the engine to seize up, knowing damn well that engine had a design flaw with the oil galleries being too thin.

Now they're to the point that the tech replacing a PCM with obvious internal failure ( when connecting to scan tool , scan tool reads " cannot communicate with PCM " ) has to fill out a friggin 5 page questionaire, as to why it needs to be replaced!

And if a car comes in with a CEL same $hit, tranny problems? Same $hit!

So a tech who is flat rate doesn't get paid for filling out a 5 page paper that may take him 1/2 hour to an hour to fill out. And the job may only pay .5 tops to say replace something stupid like a shorted cam sensor or a faulty crank sensor. I think Chrysler is trying to save $$$ in all the wrong places.

Not paying techs enough time to diag a problem correctly, denying obvious warranty claims, outsourcing to other countries like India, and manufacturing parts overseas. YET!!! The heads of the company keep giving themselves raises and bonuses.
It makes me sick, how do they sleep at night?? Is this truly the American way?? I sure as hell hope not.
END RANT...

Now I feel better about my choice of driving a Early 90's sentra. Auto companies are dick. They get away with it because people buy their **** though. This whole buying a warrantee thing is complete bull****. Is toyota doing it too?
