cold numbers can be 20-30psi lower than hot numbers depending on the motor.

IMO compression tests should be done when the car is hot, to get more accurate results.

Smoking in desaceleration. Is it a lot of smoke?
My DET was doing this, and the cause were worn out valve seals, it smoked a bit but not a lot, since they were worn, not blown yet

Although I agree with this entirely, most the time I do compression checks on a motor is when it isn't running well or not running at all. A cold check in my experience is all I can do in about 75% of the cases.

I did a compression test on my w11 det engine with 16ve head and cosworth head gasket, cold it was 210 +/- 3 psi, didnt start it as its parked up, and was a snap on gauge. Is this high because of the ve head? It took boost ok, didnt have any detonation issues, and checked piston tops with bore scope.

with a sr16ve head your compression will be around 9:3.1. Still those number are high for cold readings. As long as the numbers were consistent across all 4 you are good.
