Ok so im goign to say this, if it was the fuel im going to be REALLY PISSED AFTER ALL THIS WORK. She is doing it way less today, i replaced the fuel pump and filter, she still was hesitating...all thought not as bad. I was semi low on fuel, so i went to chevron and filled up with super, took some corners and shes cutting out way less, she backfired a lil a few times i got on it, but i think thats because timing is way off since i havent gotten to adjust it yet, but shes cutting out less. Im goign to go out in a few hours and drive around for a while and see if it is bad fuel. I had to fill up at shell in oregon the other day, and im wondering if the fuck tard that filled me up put plus instead of super in, i thought i saw him hit the super button....but im wondering, or shell is just shit shit gas. I will find out, otherwise i did all this work for nothing other than just a tune up.

So after putting in 15 dollars worth of chevron premium, i took her on i5 then 205, then sr14 back onto i5 and the cutting out is not nearly as bad. If i get on the gas lightly she doesnt do it, but if i slam my foot on the pedal to go balls to the wall it cuts out slightly. Im thinking part of the issue was shitty shitty shell gas, and i have a feeling the guy put in plus or regular instead (why i hate oregon and them filling your car for you) I had her backfire a few times when i got on the gas, so im hoping once the timing is adjusted right maybe that issue might resolve? what you guys think?

I've only run 91 in mine since I've done my swap, I don't know if running anything lower will make it run that lousy or not. No one will know (especially you) until you get the timing set. If timing is pretty close i don't know if it would cut out that but either. I'm pretty sure mine is off and I can WOT without hesitation, however when it's cold sometimes it hesitates bad in 1st. Get everything that you have suspicion of being wrong, right and go from there. Keep us posted buddy

GOt my buddies n60 maf sitting in my car to try later, but my timing i know is low right now, but its funny that after i filled up with super from chevron when i was hesitating still on the way there, adn started going around corners now shes running slightly better? the cutting out is no where like it was before. I only put 15 of super in, like 3.6 gallons and had about 2 gals of fuel in there, so im thinking run the tank to near empty, and then fill up with chevron again, it may ake a few tanks to get that shitty gas out of the tank it seems if it is the case. I googled it, and have read some issues with shell gas apparently having some water in it before, i went to a station ive never gone to before, didnt pay attention to the guy filling the tank which i usually freaking do, and when it cuts out almost sounds like a pinging sound. Im going to drive her through the week and get all that fuel out of the tank, and get some good gas going in her, but i need to get the timing adjusted, i suck at doing that right.

Is your crank pulley marked? If it is it's not that hard, of course you'll need a timing light. Did I read somewhere that you ran seafoam before it started running weird?

no never seafoam lol, i dont trust that shit at all. Thats what im having a hard time is finding the pulley marks, i have a timing light but cant seem to see the marks, i suck with timing, my eyes always freak out with the flashing light to.

You can turn the crank to TDC (if it's not marked, take the spark plug out of cyl. #1 put a hanger or something long in the cylinder and keep turning the crank pulley until the hanger goes all the way up and starts to go back down, turn it back so that it's all the way up that way you know you have TDC and do yourself a favor and use something to mark the crank pulley for future timing), take the cap off the dizzy and make sure the rotor is pointing to cyl. #1 on the cap if you do that, even if its still slightly off I doubt you'll have that severe of timing problems. I hate flashing lights too so I can relate haha
