Yes, Florida is very messed up when it comes to automobiles. Only thing we got going for us is no emmissions and great weather. Good luck having the police and tow company being honest, and doing what hey are supposed to do when it comes to autos. It's a very profitable business for both parties and they are strpped for cash.
BTW OT: IDK about other states but if you buy a car outside of Florida in an auction that was wrecked and has a rebuildable or C.O.D. title, when the dealer registers the car, they can do so as a clean title. I'm not sure if it's legal but it is very easily possible. I used to work/assist at a used car lot in which my old man used to work at, this wa absolutlely normal. Friggen dealer owner went out and bought about 10 Katrina cas from Louisiana and sold them all. I will never buy a used car from a dealer ever.
