P10 sr20de CTS vs Gtir sr20det CTS
Hey guys im new here. Ive recently dropped a Gtir sr20det engine in my P10 primera. Got it fully running and shit but the temp gauge goes off the scales on idle or while im driving slow
This piece of crap has been doing my head in that im actually ready to smash it up.
Ive replaced the water pump, thermostat, radiator flushed, bleed the system, new rad cap, ran 2 fans on a constant but the gauge is still being a dick head. (This engine was out of a mint running Gtir that i purchased from a nissan wreckers for top dollar..)
Since then ive removed one rad fan and hooked it up properly so it does turns on. at around 95 degrees celsius and once on for a few mins it would turn off at around 83-85 degrees celsius.
Im pretty sure the cars not actually overheating as i put a thermometer in the radiator and the temperature hasnt gone over 95 degress as the fan turns on.
So i was wondering if the Gtir sr20det thermal transmitter is different to the P10 sr20de thermal transmitter?
Or if anyone else has any ideas?
