Could the automatic gear box of n/a s15 be putted in sr20det (same s15)
I am using sr20de (auto) from s15 and i want to set up the new engine that is sr20det from s15 as well. Problem is i can find only the engine without transmission so i would ike to ask that could the automatic gear box of n/a s15 be putted in sr20det (same s15) ? This 2 gearbox have the same ratio in every gear (both 4speeds auto) but the final drive are different.
Thank you for help

This will work. SR20 trannys swap around. I put a sentra b13 tranny into my 200sx. The only difference is the older sentras dont have a crank sensor

i have no idea if the n/a s15 a/t will hold up under boost...but consider in the a/t trans theres a tq converter and other weak points such as a gear oil pump, tiny pressure plates.
a a/t 00+ P11 A/T trans will commit suicide after a month or 2 from low boost.
its the tq converter that gets damaged and the boost when the a/t decides to shift carrys thru the gear change which cant be good for the trans. just food for thought. i would stick to a m/t for any boost application.
research the s15 a/t trans ability to hold power

I don't know what you're swapping it into, but another issue with the S15 trans (both manual and auto) is that it has no speed sensor/speedometer output, because on the S15, it's in the rearend.
