Rad Fans arent coming on...
So you guys know this is on a P10, I jumped the relay on the passenger side and the fans did come on. I then swapped the relay with the fuel pump relay, car started and ran fine, still no fans. All fuses are good and I swapped out the brown relay(Fan2) with 2 others and still no luck...

anybody got any other ideas??? or am i missing something...

edit*
iv disconnected the CTS and the fans come on..

do you have a consult of some sort?

when im curious i just tell datascan to flip the fans on, then they come on.

if you do this, an they come on. im willing to bet its your temp sensor.. which consult might show you also (it wont read right or at all).

Unfortunatly I do not, the temp sensor connector is all messed up and when i disconnect the sensor the fans now come on. They didn't prior to me messing with the fans and relays. I'll replace the sensor and connector and hopefull that does the trick...

on a side note* if I turn on the A/C the fans are not coming on, but the compressor is also not spinning. If the compressor is spinning or not will the fans come on?

i have no clue about A/C bro lol

however, sounds like its your temp sensor good news is they dont go bad that often so i junk yard one should work, also they are fairly cheap at the auto part store

just report back if that's the issue, this thread may help someone else, even tho its been brought up before it'll yield more search results.

That I will do, a lot of the threads iv searched were simple relay issues or it went further and didn't post a fix...

Unplugging the temp sensor changes the mode the ECU runs the car in. It will keep the fans on at all times, change injector pulses, etc. That tells me the fans can kick on, the ECU just isnt knowing they need to. My vote is bad sensor or some boogered up wiring.

Bad temp sensor for sure. Youve done all the proper troubleshooting. The ecu is kicking the fan on because its seeing its full signal voltage usually meaning the ecu will think its rediculously hot kicking on the fans. Your coolant temp sensor is definitely shot.
