2 quick questions
QUestion 1: I remember reading a post a couple years ago about how aftermarket distributor caps showed a small power loss over the oem caps....don't know why their the same design....but does anyone remember reading that post? How much of a power loss was there?

Question 2: Lets say you have a bad alignment the fronts tires are toed in the the back tires are toed out.. I would imagine this would slow the car down in the quarter mile ...how much estimated time would someone would gain with a proper alignment?

get stuff from greg it will be about $35 for a cap and rotor...

figure with out a proper alignment your fighting extra drag/resistance

The cap and rotor loss and gain will prob depend all on how much power you are making and as far as the alignment it's also dependent on how bad the alignment.

Topdog I can get you OEM parts and bring them up in a few weeks when I pick up my parts. Or you can bring the parts down and I can align your car.

Yea, either way Jim, everything is ready to go for you, I was waiting to get new spring, shocks, rims, and tires before I get the actual alignment done though....I do need to head up that way eventually but it was not going to be anytime soon, maybe in a few months.

Just for the record for anyone reading this in the future do not use "Advance Autopart rotors!" I should have got the hint not to use that POS.... SMFH!!!!... I threw this on as a replacement after the screw came out of the oem one I was using....Learned my lesson the hard way as always LOL!!!

My situation was a catastrophe....I was on my way down to the race spot gunning it at high revs..... the rpms suddenly dropped , bounced back up , the engine gave a huge BANG like a gun shot....everyone behind me said I shot a huge flame right out the muffler. My first thought's were that there was a hole in the block. I inspected the block found no hole...pulled the cap and it's like a mother F*ucking Blender went to town under the cap.....non the less I was relived to find out it was that.
