This happens with both the stock and tuned computer and like JK said there is no launch control in the car. Trying to locate a new distributor as we speak.

check the wiring on the maf then and the voltages,

does it feel like a soft cut limiter, does it rev through if u slowly ease on the throttle

also what is your fuel pressure?

I was going to reground the MAF this weekend but I seriously doubt that could be the issue.
It's a violent shaking. If you ease on the throttle it will go up to a higher rpm before it hits the "Limiter".
Fuel pressure is 43 psi with the vacuum hose disconnected from the regulator.

Well I just put new plugs, wires, cap and rotor in the car to try and fix the problem.

yea but it could be the distributor or coil.

the car had issues before, you never resolved them, now your dealing with them anyways. lol

did you replace your distributor, cap, rotor ect. maybe the cas is getting a funny signal around that threshold

my buddys altima was acting funny, like it had a rev limiter real low and it would backfire out of the intake.. well come to find out oil got inside the distributor an got oil on the disc an it was causing these issues, now im not saying thats your exact problem, but if your distributors not working right it can do some funky shit.. i believe the injectors rely on signal from the dist as well..

I'm going to try and take apart the dist and see what happens if not looks like I can get one for around $300 new.

hoooold on. dont waste money.. you can get a distributor from a g20 or something.. your cars a 93? so an 91-93 g20 distributor will work for sure.. i think they changed it in 94 but im not sure. theres always a g20 in the junkyards around here. i think benitomalito MIGHT have a spare one layin around. Not sure.
