The rules are why the car is powered by an old L-series mill. GT-class cars in Club Racing have been a long-standing silhouette series. Their rulebook is pretty thick, and some classes change glacially. You can see why younger enthusiasts gravitate towards drift, time attack, etc., because the cars are more relevant to contemporary interests.
