Your trans stripped the teeth off of 3rd gear. Even if you can get the work done for cheap youd probably spend more on parts and labor than to just find a replacement trans. If you look around you should be able to find one for 300-400 bucks out of a b13/b14/ or p10

Your car wont go into 1st and 2nd becase all the broken teeth piled up under the shift linkage inside the trans. Its the lowest point of the case and where all the broken metal goes.

If I were you, I'd source a 2001 Infiniti G20T transmission. I'm pretty sure the '99-'00 still had the inferior design. Plus, that transmission has slightly better gearing for a turbo setup from what I've read. Little pricier, but worth it in the long run probably.

(If you decide not to rebuild it that is. If it's not too bad, it can be done for a decent price.)

thanks for all the help guys i really needed it! its helped me get an idea of what i want to do with this tranny problem

so im answering my own question here: "which one the p11 or b15 tranny comes from the 2000-2001 Sentra SE PP?" the b15?

so the p11 has to come from the g20 right or wrong?

Infiniti G20 from 1999-2002 has a P11 chassis code so it is referred to as a P11. 2000-2001 Sentra SE has a B15 chassis code, so it is referred to as B15....etc. etc. etc.

Infiniti G20T has P11 tranny

Nissan Sentra SE (PP) has B15 tranny

Yes.

Also, in regards to the 2000 model year trans from the G20, I guess a couple of the members have suggested that it might be weaker. I couldn't say either either way as I don't know, so 2001/2002 might be a safer bet as they have said!

No problem. I suggest you read over this thread again from the start so some of this stuff will absorb better. I like to re-read threads all the time as inevitably we all can miss something the first time through. It can be alot to take in all at once. Don't expect to learn everything overnight either, I learn something new EVERY SINGLE DAY!! Some of the members who posted in this thread did some searching on your behalf in order to post links to various thread that might be helpful to you. Read Read Read!!
