i like the Hammer. Seems shorter, weighted, not metal. Anyone know anything that can beat that price and the categories?

How are the threads? Is it similar to OEM ones that are 9mm and you basically screw them on yourself, making your owns threads? I'd want one that has 9mm thread capability like the OEM. How did yours fit on the the shifter itself??

Nismo GT knob... I've had the black one pictured below for about the last 8 years. Very nice knob and good for those of us in the South. At first glance it looks like your usual DTM style knob that's painted/anodized black. In fact, the black color is actually a soft urethane coating that won't burn your hands in the summer or freeze them in the winter. For those in less harsh climates, Nismo also offers a Titanium version.

The threads are all metal, not nylon like the Nismo knobs. I have had my shift knob on for 2+ months and it has never came loose or made any wierd rattling sounds.

I picked up a bunch of different honda/mitsu/random shift knobs when I went to the junkyard. I got a really tall pistol grip style out of a plymouth laser turbo. It's HEAVY, like almost two pounds heavy.. But it made shifting smooth as butter. It was also a conversation piece when someone grabbed it.

Here is a link to the knob: http://www.amsperformance.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=845

Sweet! Thanks for the link. That is a great deal for a top notch shift knob.

This Makes 3 for the Nismo GT knob, I too have had one for eight years, lol. It started life on my 240 and is now residing in my SE-R. I even bought a second one for use in my Z. It's a great knob and as previously mentioned, has a soft urethane touch that never gets hot, man I hat a hot shift knob. I've thought about trying other but I just can't mess with a good thing. BTW to the OP of the titanium GT knob, that is baller! I want one, but can never find $150 that isn't pre-planned for something else
