Strange Knock Noise?

Can somebody tell me what that noise is? If you can hear it, it sounds sort of like a knock. My knock sensor is throwing a code so I'm thinking it's that, but I'm not sure.

That's not so strange, it's an SR(or any other motor with old ass HLAs). Sounds like a collapsed Hydraulic lash adjuster. Sometimes they do go bad, but they usually will tap for a second at start up until oil pressure builds up. This is what I believe it is, but you'll need to confirm by removing the valve cover. After you remove it check to see if you have any loose rocker arms.

I had a feeling it was a rocker tapping. But if it's the HLA, then that's an easy fix. It wont affect the engine or anything right? I'm planning to do some general maintenance in a few weeks, but until then I'll be driving it.

If that's what it is, then it is easy to repair. You just need to look to see. I wouldn't keep on driving around like that. You could, like others most likely have, until it throws a rocker. It may just fall out of place, or get all chewed up, and possibly ruin your cam, etc. I don't like chancing stuff like that myself.
