What type of coolant do you guys use?
The FSM for the B14 calls for a 30/50 mix, but all i can ever find is 50/50. Will that be alright? Also, how often should i fill the radiator and overflow tank? I'm used to a BMW that all you had to fill was a reservoir so don't mind the noobish questions.

30/50 what happen to the other 20%...

i use 50/50 no issues, fill from the radiator, make sure you bleed the entire system.

WTF? They don't sell anything not pre-mixed around you? That shit is a scam.

Well I can't really bleed today. I was just a bit worried because my overflow tank was at minimum.

Don't buy per mix. It's a rip off. Buy full strength and mix your self.

x2 The pre mix and full strength of the same brand is damn near the same price. I'm using Zerex made by valvoline. It's in a bronze/goldish bottle.

Is there a benifet to using distilled water over tap water when mixing yourself or should you always be using distilled?

i read to use distilled because minerals/ions in tap water can corrode internal engine and messes up coolant longevity/function on a chemical level. friends of mine who track/drag alot only use a 30/70 antifreeze distilled water mix. if its good for them, good for my lil setup
