NX2000 Plastic Body Fasteners
Hey everyone. I need to replace some the plastic fasteners on my NX2k. I've included pictures of the areas where I'm working. Just wanted to get a heads up if any of you have replaced these parts.

The first area is the trim underneath the rear side window. There are plastic tabs that get inserted into a plastic sleeve. How are the tabs pulled out? I'd rather not ruin the sleeve that goes into the sheetmetal.

The second part that I need to replace is the plastic peg that holds the side skirt in place. WHen I removed my skirts some of the pegs broke off and remained on the car body. I plan on removing these old pegs and installing new ones onto the side skirts. The problem is I don't see how I can remove the old pegs from the side skirts. There is a picture below of what I'm talking about.

Any info on replacement of these parts would be appreciated. Thanks.

The guy I got my NX from replaced all the trim and had a hard time replacing the parts you speak of. That plastic piece just pull on it to pop it out. I would also replace those tabs that go into the sheet metal. I have some extra ones he gave me. They come in a pack of 10 nissan part number 84814-50c00. I don't have any info on the plastic piece that goes on the trim. When I went to courtesyparts and punched in item 84814 it says grommet for a maxima. The pic looks just like the ones I have in my hand. If you want a pic or more info PM me.

I went to the dealership years ago, when I broke a peg from the side skirt. They may be able to source some for you. Otherwise, junkyard is your best bet.

I would ask Greg V as he may know what fasteners cross, ie. Gumby you said the part number was for a Maxima. As far how to remove I can't help you since I haven't done it. If I had one in front of me I could figure it out but just from the pics I have an idea but won't suggest anything without knowing for sure.

The guy I bought my car from said it took months to source the side trim and parts. Here is a pic of what i have left over he gave me. The part number I put in courtesys website search just to see what would come up. It said maxima grommet. As you can see the orange piece is pretty beat up, I don't know if those come with the trim or are seperate. That I would ask greg V.
