6ul 15x7.5
would the 15x7.5 be a better fit since for stock type struts u need 5mm spacers for the rear? the offset is different than the 7's and 8 wide ones though. 42 on the 7.5 versus 36 on the others

according to our suspension bible. http://www.sr20-forum.com/24096-post12.html the 15x7 36mm version should be the best fit though. and running a 15x8 36mm should work with a 5mm spacer. but all the info looks confused.

Knuckledusters old car now prodrifter's worked with the 5mm spacer SR20 Forum - View Single Post - Test FIt:15x8 with +20 & +40 offset but some posts say it had the run of the mill 36mm but others say it had the 40mm offset.

Then i found some posts by eggman http://www.sr20-forum.com/614851-post16.html that said the 5mm spacer made the tire bearly clear, (but isn't the nt-01 a "wide" 205 tire) but others say it worked fine after the spacer. happynole says it will work but someone else in the thread says he's running coil-overs. but he never says what suspension he has on the egg. http://www.sr20-forum.com/607871-post8.html

i really just wanna run 15x8's with a 205 on a conventional style strut. i'm runing reg struts now and will be running agx's or csk's at some point. but don't wanna wory about rubbing and rolling and what not.

I do know for anyone else trying to find out. that b14's can fit the 15x8's regardless off what rear struts and on b13's if you have coil-overs u don't need any type of spacer unless going 225's or larger.

anyone have anymore info?

sometimes i think i should just get some b14 wheels! facepalm!

What chassis are you on? It makes a big difference.

A B14 can run the 15x8 6UL's with up to 225/45-15, no spacers required. This is because of the rear suspension design.

A B13 is limited in the rear, especially with stock style struts. I can only speak as to what fits with coilovers, because that is what I've got on both of my B13's. With Progress coilovers, 15x8 6UL's (+36) mounted with 205/50-15 (NT01) will clear in the rear. 225/45-15 (NT01 or RS-2) will rub, 5 mm spacer gives you clearance. 15x7.5 6UL's will clear with 225/45-15 (RS-2).

These are documented results I have run on my cars.

I dont think the nt-o1 is a "big" 205....like the azenis...they are for sure more like a 215.
Anyway.
I am in the same boat.
I bought the 15x8 to go on my track car, which I have progress coilovers for.
Howerver,I am selling the project, and was thinking of using the 949 on my DD.
However ,I have CSK/hypercos on it,so thats why I test fitted it.

So I have to either sell the coilovers and wheels...or swap the coilovers onto the daily to make the 949 work.
I love my CSK setup,so it looks like the soilovers and 949 will be going up for sale soon.

In hindsight,I wish I would have gotten the 15x7 instead,so they fit both cars, but for the track car I wanted the extra width.

i would be real interested to see if the 15x7.5 fit or not,so if you try let us know..lol

how much would you sell them 6ul's without tires?

yeah i think i'ma run 15x7's so there's no issues. but i think if i run that size there's cheaper wheels availble though with similar weight.

I dont want to risk damaging the wheels by dismounting, sorry.
The whole setup is new,and I want to sell as a package with tires.
They are not gonna be sold until my shell is gone anyway, because if I cant sell the shell,I am gonna just put it all in storage for a while and keep them.

Haha you guys
As soon as I sell my shell they will be up for grabs for sure and the coilovers.

Joe,Jimi is the jedi master of complites...LOLI may be able to work a deal with you for trade for complites with new tires, too if you are interested,Jimi.

I would also consider a set of 6UL in 15x7 with a good set of new street tires as a even trade....ahem...like some gold ones with a polished lip...ahem..hehe
I am kinda bummed I cant run the 15x8 on my daily without swapping the coilovers on,too
