im on my second sr20 trans . its a daily driver which my wife drives to work so the car isnt getting beat on . the orginal trans had a bad 5th gear so i bought my first rebuilt trans (lasted me a few days tab for the 5th gear came off ) swapped that trans out for another trans worked fine and smooth . today the 5th gear began to pop out and while waiting for my wife to get out of the store i couldnt get the trans into gear . had to shut car off than put into gear and turn it on in order for it to move .
why are these trans so freaking shitty . is there a better way to fix that problem .
Update
after reading and searching and texting friends i came up with the following
1. Bad TOB
2. Bad Motor Mounts
3. Bad Input Shaft
4. Bad Clutch (Loose Spring)
