clutch help plz
What can be the cause of a loud throw out bearing. My previouse clutch went out, which was was an Exedy OEM replacement kit, spring fell out and the throw out bearing was very loud also. Installed a new ACT HD PP/both throw and pilot bearings/ and a new 6 puck sprung ACT disc. Old bearing was very loud. This isn't as loud but still can hear it. In both cases if the clutch pedal is pressed the noise goes away.

All help n thought is appreciated,

Thanks,
Mark

3rd thread this week on the same thing. Its not the throwout bearing being noisy. Its the trans itself, mainly the input shaft bearing making noise when the clutch is engaged and turning the gearstacks and input shaft.

Like the other 2 threads this week, its a common thing with our transmissions. They get noisy after a while. Its nothing to worry about really. Its not going to grenade on you. If you dont like the noise try mixing some heavier gear oil in. 3 quarts of 75w90 and 1 quart of 85w140 gear oil and i can bet you it will be much quieter.
