I dont know. My car uses mini fuses. What do you have that takes the big ones? I got mine at pep boys and they had a pretty good selection. I just dont remember seeing the big ones.

Wow you guys have been busy. Thx for the suggestions. Yes, those piggyback fuses are nice and come in handy for many different wiring applications.

The reason I didn't just wire it off the cig. lighter is two-fold; first off I wanted the switched 12v source to be switched only with engine running and secondly my cigarette lighter wasn't working. All of the car's accessories receive battery voltage with the key either in ACC/ON or start position. It was suggested to me that it was best for the wideband to receive no power during engine cranking. The best bet for this was to use the ECU wire for the MIL/CEL as this wire receives only 80mv with ignition on/start but full battery voltage with the engine running. For whatever reason it didn't want to work. Anyway I stopped fuc#ing around and stopped being a twit and fixed my cig. lighter and just wired the wideband off of it. To deal with the increased load you can just bump up the ATO fuse from 15A to 20A or even start messing with inline fuses; not really neccessary though. I do notice the icreased load on the accessory relay now. When my car is idling and under no load the dash lights dim a wee bit but I can fix that no problem. The next thing I am going to do is wire in a toggle switch for the wideband. This way I can turn it off when I feel like it and especially during car cranking for safety. Surely it will be fine as is but I like doing stuff like that.

...And thank god I installed the wideband. Holy freaking running lean under load. The UEGO actually stops reading under hard load. I figured, as mentioned by another forum member, that I was hitting lean spots but not that bad. Anyway, tuning tomorrow!!

Now, back to my tuning thread!!

You want the wide band powered up when the ignition switch is on so the heater starts warming it up before you start cranking.

X2, the sensor needs to be heated before use.
